what my life has been reduced to.

today on pinterest i searched for potty training charts.

yes. potty training charts.

who am i?

surprisingly i didn't find one cute enough. so i decided to make one for eliza.
i had limited supplies since it was on a whim and my paper is at the house, but i think it turned out cute. lots of room for stickers. she should have gotten some today, but i forgot to pick them up!

i have ideas for others if people are interested. or am i the only freak excited about this? got to make it fun, or you'll never survive! :)

celebratory giveaweay.

in honor of our forever home, and reopening the store i'm hosting a giveaway!

you get to pick the prize. a custom banner, garland, camera critter, or cake bunting.

here is how to win...
  • become a fan on facebook if you haven't already.
  • share with your friends.
  • come back here and let me know! let's make it fun and tell me something your "forever home" would have. walk in closet? lots of land? hot tub? room for chickens?
i'll leave it open this weekend and draw a winner on monday, october 3rd at noon (eastern time)

happy day!

cake bunting.

for eliza's second birthday i knew i had to make a bunting banner for her cake.

they are the cutest little things.

i used the same paper from the invitations. i thought about adding white and spelling out her name, but then decided just to keep it simple.

you should have seen the lady helping me at the bakery when i ordered a plain white cake.

"and do you want trim?"

"no. just plain."

"just plain?"

"yes!"

of course these can be done in a variety of colors. i can also make a double row if you wanted to "happy birthday" or some other phrase stacked.

paper garland. what is it good for?

when i had a booth at my first craft show i had a few people ask what they could use garland for besides decorating a Christmas tree. i did have one customer buy enough to decorate their tree. it looked great, but there are other options too.

the first time i made it was for eliza's birthday and i draped it around our apartment. in doorways and around the windows. i also hung some up in the bathrooms during the Christmas season.

i had a customer order a bunch of it for her daughter's candy land themed birthday. in addition to decorating the apartment we hung some vertically and made a fun curtain around the food table. i love how it turned out!

it would also make a good backdrop for pictures. i'm thinking behind a child during their first birthday cake smashing.

postcards.

since i had to put orders on hold i had to find ways to get my craft fix.

enter eliza's 2nd birthday.

since we were in korea for her 1st i wanted to make sure her 2nd was just perfect!

even though her birthday is in september i wanted to have a kite theme before she starts picking themes of her own.

i started with sewing some postcard invites. they were a simple design and i got all 20 done without too much of a hassle.

check them out...

simply sweet for our little june bug!

hello!

i guess it is about time i got a blog for my little shop.

i'm hoping to have a giveaway here and there and post items as i make them.

nothing too fancy, just a place to feature some work.

it's been way too long since i have been able to take orders. we moved home from korea, had and lost our sweet delia and life is just getting settled down.

hope to relaunch soon. i've missed it!
